I’m a master’s student at Hiroshima University, working in the Urban and Transportation Planning Lab under Prof. Makoto Chikaraishi.
My research sits at the intersection of transportation planning and computation. The core question I’m working on: when a city changes its transport system — a new bus line, a fare change, a new road — who actually benefits and who doesn’t, at the individual level? Activity-based travel models can answer this, but the exact computation is prohibitively expensive at city scale. My work develops Structural-IRL, an algorithm that makes this tractable by exploiting structural connections between dynamic discrete choice models, reinforcement learning, and graph neural networks.
Before coming to Japan, I spent a few years at ITB in Bandung — doing research on ride-hailing behavior and running the statistics lab for planning students. I’m originally from Indonesia.
